“I consider the training program of the Maranatha Missions Movement to be comprehensive, and that is why I would recommend that churches and mission organizations implement their strategies. They have a structure and each decision is made in unity with the members of the church. Spiritual and physical support is offered, and the team is also willing to provide the resources that the missionary will need to accomplish the mission. They are not only concerned with local missions but also global missions. I thank the MMM team for adopting me as their missionary and I encourage them to continue doing so because there are many missionaries who receive little support from their local churches and knowing that there are other churches willing to support them encourages missionaries to continue the call that God has given them. My desire is to serve Muslims, and there is a special place in my heart for Syria and the Muslim women who have been taken as slaves because of the war. These women have deep wounds that only Christ can fully heal. And during my time with the MMM, I have learned the importance of relating to people before preaching the Gospel to them and not forcing them to believe in Christ or judging them for what they believe but rather listening to them, loving them, showing them the love of Christ and bearing witness to my faith." ~ Carolina from Puebla, Mexico

“Upon arriving with the Maranatha Missions Movement, I thought it would be very difficult to adapt, but it was not so since the church introduced me to the mission where I would be working and cared for each of my personal and ministry needs, and they were always looking out for me. Concerning the concept of disciples making disciples, I learned that it is not only about making disciples and that’s it but rather it's about leading and helping our disciples make disciples and their disciples make disciples and so on. I had not thought about it that way or seen it done that way, but it is very good because that is how the church grows more and prepares more, and so we all work making disciples and not everything is left to one person, and we help each other. It is a good training program and the resources they have are very good and help a lot in ministry. The way they work as a team is also very good, and it helps a lot. The church is more than willing to help and guide as much as possible; they are accessible and that is good because they care about each person and want to prepare and equip them. That is why I recommend it, and if you have the opportunity to participate, do it.” ~ Juanita from Veracruz, Mexico

“My time with the Maranatha Missions Movement in Ixtlan de Juárez has been a great blessing and a lot of learning. I am grateful first of all to God for allowing me to be here; I never imagined being in this place and especially working with these brothers and sisters, but I can say that this is all God's plan for my life. Being with my brothers and sisters feels like a family; I feel their support and above all, I count on them in my spiritual growth, guiding me more in the Word of the Lord, working together, carrying out plans and projects and most of all, bringing His Word to those in need. I am very grateful that each of them made me feel like part of their family, even when I felt incapable of many things, they have helped me and understood me. During this time, I have learned that evangelism occurs at all times, even with your life you are sharing the Gospel, with your way of treating people. And the same goes for discipleship. It is a joy to know that discipleship is not only taking courses, but also deal withs what we do in our lives, preparing other people as they see our example.” ~ Bety from Puebla, Mexico

“During my stay with the Maranatha Missions Movement, it was very important to know that the church always interceded in prayer for us and was interested in equipping us more, offering us evangelism and discipleship courses and some other workshops. I learned that the participation, support, and backing of the local church in the Great Commission is very important since it is everyone's task and that it becomes easier if there is the active participation of the church. In regard to the knowledge that I acquired through the courses and the experiences, undoubtedly each one I will be able to put into practice, but there is something very important that I think will always be true when doing ministry, loving God above all things and loving people. I personally recommend the 3M training program to others, as they provide support and training for participation in ministry (missions) in addition to being a program that continues to improve with God's help.” ~ Miriam from Veracruz
